HOW IT ALL STARTED

1997 - Home Automation Systems

We began in 1997 through our first subsidiary Home Automation Systems, this wasat a time when crime was climbing to an all-time high and persons were looking for security, convenience system to suit their lifestyle. We evolve to meet that demand by providing solutions such as Automatic Gate Openers, Automatic Garage Doors, Burglar Alarms, Fire Alarms, Intercoms, Satellite Communication, Access Controls and Security Camera Systems etc. It was a success as we became and have remained one of the most sort after provider of security, convenience and lifestyle products.

2007 – Caribbean Solar Energy

Ten years later in 2007 oil prices started to spiral out of control and with it consumer light bills. We saw an opportunity to offer a cheaper source on energy to consumers who were looking to gain control of their energy bills and quickly launched Caribbean Solar Energy and brand Carisol. Needless to say it was an immediate success. Scores of Jamaican rush to gain their energy independence by going solar. We provided solutions such as solar power systems, Carisol solar water heaters, energy saving lights, Carisol solar air conditioners and more.

2010 - Largest Wholesale Distributor of Renewable Energy Products across Jamaica

Later in 2010 we decide why sell from just one location, why not branch out. We toyed with the idea of opening locations across the island but decide instead to place our products inside stores that were already household names, firmly grounded across the island and already have a customer base and strive on their individual strengths and successes. We added and established our products in over 71 dealer location throughout Jamaica to include stores such as Brumalia Hardware, Crichton Brothers and Singer Stores Island wide. Thus we became the Largest Wholesale Distributor of Renewable Energy Products across Jamaica and the Caribbean Community. Our products became the most sort after by everyone the industry our competitors became our partners as we became their suppliers.

2011 - Carisol

Managing both companies as separate entities was proving to be a challenge and creating a negative impact on our customer service and we had also ran out of office and warehousing space as we were growing at an alarming rate. We decided it was time to take both entities together under one roof and purchase the property where we currently are located improving on the property and creating a large warehouse space. We started using our brand the name Carisol as the umbrella for Home Automation Systems and Caribbean Solar Energy. Customer service came back under control and we once again have happy customers.

2014 - Shop At Home Super Store

In 2014 we realized that the market was once again shifting and again we started positioning ourselves for its changes we saw where persons were seeking greater convenience and have started to shop online. We decided to offer the consumers an online home improvement super store and launched Shop at Home Super Store to capitalize on this new market shift and added it under our existing umbrella Carisol. This Online Store that sell everything from Electronics, Appliances, Furniture, Hardware Items and much more was created with convenience, value and savings in mind. This shift allowed us to embrace the digital space at the entry level and we learned a new way of doing business by selling online. This shift was also not without sacrifices as we once again saw a slide in our customer service as we strive to build out for the digital future.

2020 – Vision Realized
